Aid response to COVID-19

Locals receiving food aidThe COVID-19 corona virus is having a material impact on Sri Lanka’s economy and for many poor people there has been no way of earning a living.

Government aid has not always been funnelled through successfully and there are a number of families who are barely surviving.

We have helped approximately 300 families since March 2020, the majority of whom we are already connected to through our projects in Tetopola, Gampaha, Wanathamulla, Ethul Kotte and Madampitya.

Receiving food packages during the Covid-19 pandemic

We have provided food parcels to help them through this difficult times both on a one off and on a regular basis.

Sadly, we do not believe that this economic crisis will be resolved quickly and would like to extend our support activities in this area.
