I was born and raised in Sri Lanka but went to university in London. I spent much of my early career in the UK and then returned to Sri Lanka. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka and Justice of the Peace (all Island) in Sri Lanka. I have over 25 years experience in project structuring and funding.

I know the area of Wanathamulla well because of my involvement in the Tamil Union cricket club where I was the secretary. I really want to improv
e the lives of disadvantaged children in Sri Lanka and I feel the work we do through the Trust makes a material difference. I represent the Trust in Sri Lanka and help manage the daily problems encountered in the Carmel Home.
