We are now into our second week of the new term for the children. They have all settled into their various schools with their new teachers, some are happy, some not so happy, as you can imagine!

Girls playing cricket in the playgroundThe tuition lessons have also begun in English and Maths. We have four girls sitting their “O” Levels in December this year and they are now being prepared for their study routines by “Tony Uncle”. We have also given them their own room to study in where it is quieter and more conducive to learning. Tuesday was a public holiday – “Thaipongal” – we had a day of fun with the girls at the Home.

Tony doing a magic show for the childrenWe provided lunch which consisted of lamprais packets  and fruit. “Tony Uncle” then put on a magic show, which the children loved! After that, it was time for a cricket game in the playground, which ended in a draw – one all! We finished the day with tea and cakes.

A good time was had by all!
